What is Acurast?
Acurast is a decentralized computing network that operates through a distributed infrastructure of smartphones, rather than traditional data centers. The network is designed to provide verifiable, scalable, and confidential compute services, allowing users to run secure applications on a decentralized basis while aiming to maintain performance and data privacy.
According to the project, the network has integrated over 286,700 phones globally, which it describes as making it the most decentralized verifiable compute network available. This infrastructure has reportedly generated more than 998 million on-chain transactions and supports over 601,818 deployments, which are used for workloads that require high security and artificial intelligence capabilities.
