What is AirSwap?
AirSwap is a decentralized, peer-to-peer token trading network built on the Ethereum blockchain. It was launched in 2017 and operates without a central authority, allowing users to trade ERC-20 tokens directly with one another through smart contracts. The platform's design removes the need for intermediaries, which reduces the risk of large-scale security breaches, as user funds are not held by a central entity. Trades are executed atomically, meaning they either complete in full or not at all, and the network supports substantial value transfers.
The platform implements the Swap protocol to facilitate direct token exchanges. AirSwap offers three main products: Instant, which enables quick token purchases and sales; Spaces, which provides customizable NFT marketplace environments; and DexIndex, which tracks liquidity across decentralized exchanges. Users can also create and launch their own customized NFT marketplace platforms through Spaces.
