What is Bio Protocol?
Bio Protocol is developing a platform centered on biotechnology and artificial intelligence. Its Bio V2 Launchpad is designed to support the creation and use of decentralized AI agents, referred to as BioAgents. The stated goal is to automate aspects of scientific research and help move biotech discoveries toward commercialization, with participation from researchers and patients globally.
The platform’s native token, $BIO, is used within the BioAgent ecosystem to reward contributions. Token holders can stake $BIO to operate BioAgents either locally or through cloud services, which provides an opportunity to earn yield in return for their participation.

So far, the project has introduced three BioAgents focused on longevity, men’s health, and microbiome health. Additional agents are reportedly being developed by BioDAOs within the network and in collaboration with research partners.
