Fluid is a decentralized finance protocol developed by the team that previously created Instadapp. It combines lending and trading functions into a single system, where collateral deposited into the lending market simultaneously serves as liquidity for token swaps. This allows the same assets to be utilized in both activities.
The protocol's structure is designed to improve capital efficiency and offer more precise borrowing constraints compared to standard lending platforms. Liquidations occur in smaller, gradual steps rather than through the conventional approach of closing positions entirely at once.
FLUID serves as the governance token for the protocol, having replaced the earlier INST token from Instadapp. Holders of FLUID can participate in decision-making processes regarding protocol parameters, asset listings, and the management of treasury funds.
