What is BOB?
BOB is a project focused on integrating Bitcoin with decentralized finance through a hybrid Layer-2 chain. The platform aims to combine Bitcoin’s security with Ethereum’s smart contract capabilities, offering services such as swapping, lending, and yield generation. Its architecture includes tools for cross-chain interoperability and a bridge design intended to support Bitcoin-based transactions.
The BOB token serves multiple functions within this ecosystem, including staking for network security, participating in governance, and accessing protocol features. The token has a fixed maximum supply of 10 billion, with a portion initially unlocked. Allocation is directed toward community initiatives, early contributors, investors, and a foundation reserve.
