What is Moonwell?
Moonwell (WELL) is a lending and borrowing protocol that operates on the Base, Moonbeam, and Moonriver blockchain networks. The platform is designed with an intuitive interface to make onchain lending and borrowing straightforward for both newcomers and experienced users. It supports assets such as cbBTC, a tokenized version of Bitcoin, and builds upon code from the Moonwell Apollo protocol.
Security measures are a key component of the protocol. Regular smart contract audits are performed by Halborn and Code4rena, while risk management services are provided by Gauntlet and Warden. Additionally, an Immunefi bug bounty program helps identify and address potential vulnerabilities. The protocol's core contracts track balances and set interest rates for lenders and borrowers.
