What is PepeCoin?
PepeCoin is a cryptocurrency that was created in 2016 on a proof-of-work/proof-of-stake blockchain. In 2023, it was bridged to the Ethereum network. The project focuses on building an operating-system-style application ecosystem intended to combine decentralized finance, games, NFTs, and internet meme culture.
In 2025, the project released the alpha version of Kekspace, a digital playground built around NFTs where users can interact with various features. Additional functionalities for this platform are reportedly still in development.
