iExec provides tools that simplify the creation of privacy-first applications, integrating programmable governance, data protection, and confidential processing. This enables developers to offer users control over their data and its access, while also supporting new ways to share and monetize information. The goal is to foster a more secure and private economy where every transaction and dataset contributes to user safety and shared benefits.
iExec distinguishes itself by using Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) to make confidential computing easy for developers. It offers ready-to-use components like DataProtector and Web3Messaging, allowing builders to add encrypted processing, private communication, and secure data access without needing to manage infrastructure. This approach turns complex privacy technology into accessible tools, making data ownership and confidentiality standard in applications.
iExec RLC (RLC) is a digital currency that operates on the Ethereum blockchain as an ERC-20 token. It can be stored, transferred, traded, and divided easily, and it is used for transactions within the network.
The security of the iExec network relies on Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), which keep data encrypted even during processing. Additionally, it uses a Proof-of-Contribution consensus mechanism to ensure that work done by providers is validated, verified, and rewarded transparently on the blockchain.
Gilles Fedak is the CEO and co-founder of iExec. Before this, he worked as a research scientist at INRIA, held a postdoc at UC San Diego, and was an ATER at University Paris-Sud, with a Ph.D. in philosophy and computer science. Haiwu He, the co-founder and head of APAC, previously was a professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, an innovation transfer research engineer at ENS Lyon, co-founder of iRentCPU, a research engineer at INRA, and an assistant professor at Hohai University, holding a Ph.D. in computing sciences. Their backgrounds include research in desktop grid computing at INRIA and CNRS.
iExec RLC can be traded on several exchanges, including Bittrex, Uniswap V2, Binance, Upbit, VCC Exchange, and HitBTC. For a broader list, you can refer to cryptocurrency exchange directories.
