What is SaucerSwap?
SaucerSwap is a decentralized exchange operating on the Hedera network. It utilizes the Hedera Token Service (HTS) to facilitate fast transaction speeds and low fees, which are denominated in U.S. dollars. The platform's architecture ensures fair transaction ordering, which helps mitigate the risk of Miner Extractable Value (MEV) attacks that are often associated with Ethereum-based protocols. The exchange offers two versions: V1, an automated market maker (AMM), and V2, which employs concentrated liquidity to improve capital efficiency.
The native token, SAUCE, serves as the governance token for the SaucerSwap DAO. Token holders can vote on proposals related to protocol upgrades and incentive structures. The platform is supported by the HBAR Foundation and includes components such as SaucerSwap Labs, the SaucerSwap Protocol, and the SaucerSwap Interface. The technology is built on Hedera Hashgraph, a distributed ledger that uses a consensus algorithm designed for high throughput and low latency. Smart contracts are implemented through the Hedera Smart Contract Service using Ethereum Virtual Machine precompiles, and the network's security model incorporates asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerance to maintain system integrity.
