What is Shitcoin?
SHIT is a memecoin operating on the Bittorrent Chain, created with the goal of adding entertainment and community engagement to that network. The project began with what it describes as the first fair launch in the history of BTTC, which took place over a three-day period in late May 2023. This launch exceeded its initial funding target, raising more than 600% of the soft cap, equivalent to over 30 billion BTT tokens.
According to the project, 90% of the funds raised during the fair launch were allocated to liquidity pools on Kyberswap and JustMoney exchange. The corresponding liquidity provider tokens were locked within the token's contract, which is described as having no owner, no minting capability, and no withdrawal functions. Following the fair launch, the tokens were released and made available for users to claim on May 24, 2023.
