AWE Network focuses on creating Autonomous Worlds where AI agents can interact, adapt, and evolve. Its core technology, the Autonomous Worlds Engine (AWE), is a modular framework for building self-sustaining environments that support large-scale agent-to-agent and human-to-agent collaboration. The engine handles thousands of agents efficiently through parallel processing, dependency management, and GPU optimization. World.Fun, a launcher built on AWE, enables the creation of up to 1,000 AI-driven Autonomous Worlds, allowing users to design and deploy custom agents. Additionally, AWE serves as the governance token for the ecosystem.
The technology behind AWE Network is based on its Autonomous Worlds Engine, a modular framework designed to scale AI-driven Autonomous Worlds. It achieves large-scale agent coordination with low latency and high parallelism. Key components include an Execution Scheduler that uses out-of-order execution to boost LLM API throughput, a Dependency Graph to map task relationships and avoid redundant operations, enhanced parallelism that distributes workloads across GPU clusters for real-time scaling, global synchronization for coordinated state transitions among distributed agents, and an LLM Adaptor that provides unified access to multiple LLM providers such as OpenAI and DeepSeek.
Since its start in 2019, AWE has been an active contributor to Web3 innovation. In 2023, it shifted its focus to Autonomous Worlds, beginning with identity infrastructure like AWNS (Autonomous Worlds Name Service). At that time, its existing products had supported over 250 DAOs, making the pivot a natural step. In 2025, AWE released a framework for scaling AI-driven Autonomous Worlds, enabling the creation of worlds with up to 1,000 agents. It also passed a governance proposal to rebrand from STP to AWE Network. The token's listing on major exchanges like Binance, Upbit, and Bithumb, along with full circulation since April 2024, were significant milestones for liquidity.
AWE was established in 2019 by a group of founders, including Mike Chen, Richard Lee, and Sinhae Lee.
AWE Network is a project focused on the development of Autonomous Worlds, digital environments where AI agents can interact, adapt, and evolve. The core technology is the Autonomous Worlds Engine (AWE), a modular framework designed to support large-scale collaboration between agents and humans. This system uses parallel processing, dependency management, and GPU-optimized workloads to coordinate interactions among numerous autonomous agents. A key component is World.Fun, a launcher that enables the creation of Autonomous Worlds powered by AWE, where users can build and deploy customized agents. The AWE token serves as the governance token for this ecosystem.
The technology behind the platform is built on several components, including an execution scheduler for optimizing LLM API calls, a dependency graph to manage task relationships, and systems for distributing workloads across GPU clusters. It also includes a global synchronization mechanism for coordinating state changes and an adaptor for unified access to various LLM providers. The project, founded in 2019 by contributors including Mike Chen, Richard Lee, and Sinhae Lee, initially supported over 250 DAOs before shifting its focus to Autonomous Worlds in 2023, starting with identity infrastructure like the Autonomous Worlds Name Service (AWNS). In 2025, it released a scaling framework for AI-driven worlds and approved a rebranding to AWE Network. The AWE token has been listed on major exchanges and has been fully circulating since April 2024.
