What is a tokenized stock?

TQQQX is a crypto token whose price tracks ProShares UltraPro QQQ (TQQQ), an exchange-traded fund. It is not a share in the fund itself. How it is structured depends on the issuer — some tokens are backed by real fund shares held in custody, others are synthetic and simply follow the price.
