What is V Systems?
V Systems (VSYS) is an open-source blockchain platform designed to support the efficient development of decentralized applications (dApps) for real-world use. It enables the creation, transfer, trading, and tracking of both physical and digital assets. The network operates on a decentralized infrastructure and is built to process a high volume of transactions on a daily basis. Its native token, VSYS, is utilized within the ecosystem for staking, covering transaction costs, and executing smart contracts.
The project, established in 2019, emphasizes a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) approach, specifically through a mechanism known as Supernode Proof-of-Stake (SPoS). This model relies on selected supernodes, chosen based on their stake, to validate transactions and generate new blocks, aiming to enhance security and efficiency while reducing energy consumption relative to Proof-of-Work systems. The platform's codebase is written in Scala and is openly available for developer contributions.
