Zircuit is a blockchain platform designed for automated finance, operating as an EVM-compatible zero-knowledge rollup. The network integrates AI, zero-knowledge proofs, and infrastructure to process transactions with a focus on security and scalability. AI models provide protection at the sequencer level for each transaction, aiming to create a secure environment for users and developers. The platform is built to support internet-scale applications, with the stated goals of reducing gas fees and increasing transaction speed while maintaining compatibility with the broader Web3 ecosystem.
The project was initiated by a team of web3 researchers with an interest in Ethereum scalability and security. They developed a security model known as Sequencer Level Security (SLS) and contributed new approaches to rollup design and formal verification. The team has authored multiple peer-reviewed papers on topics such as cross-chain bridge security, Halo2 circuit analysis, and rollup compression, presented at conferences including IEEE ICBC, DICG, and ChainScience. Initial funding came from grants provided by the Ethereum Foundation and ZCash Foundation, which supported the development of the platform into its current form as an AI-driven, EVM-compatible ZK rollup.
